Fun Tradition

So, sorry to all who have been checking in and were met with disappointment! Between the busy market season starting and being super busy at home this last month, I have slacked on my blog.

We did great at the farmer's market last weekend; even with a slowing economy (when will it pick back up?!?!?) we sold over 10xs our booth fee! The traffic was slow but steady and it was actually kind of nice for a change not to be rushing back and forth in a whirlwind, but being able to take the time to talk to each customer and chat about the products (more then the standard 'what's good for my dry skin?' questions) and get to know them a little better.

I especially enjoyed chatting with this one gal in particular; she was telling me about a tradition she and her mom have and it sounded so fun I wanted to share it! She said that whenever she or her mom visit a different place, they scour the town for a fun handmade item to send to the other that represents where they had been.
This gal was visiting from Vermont, and after walking around the market for a bit and talking to me, decided to buy a bar of Prickly Pear goat milk soap. She said that bar of soap covered representing the Arizona desert and the agricultural town of Queen Creek, all in one. I'm sure her mom will love it! :)
The market was fun and successful, so if you missed seeing us there last weekend, you can count on us being back in May.

Prickly Pear Soap certainly strikes a cord with a lot of people. It is great soap.

The colors of this soap made me think of Watermelon, which is my favorite candy flavor, I'd love to see you make a Watermelon soap :)
