Guild Conference

The Handcrafted Soapmakers Guild holds a conference once a year, in a different region of the US.  I just got my newsletter and schedule for the 2009 conference, and was excited to see that it will be nearby, in Palm Springs (well, relatively nearby, considering previous events held in VT, PA, MO, etc...).  The 3 day conference schedule is packed full of soap technique demonstrations, business classes, lotion and other bath and body classes, and highlight speakers including Erin Brockovich (not sure what she knows about soapmaking, exactly, but I am interested to hear her speak about business and determination ;)  ).  Of course, there will also be plenty of vendors and giveaways, food and other soapmakers.  It should be a very inspiring conference.......now, to mark my calender.....
